Is it just us or is this summer just flying by? We hope that our patients and their families are enjoying their summers here in Katy, Texas. Here at Kids Healthy Teeth, we believe that oral health care is a very important part of your child’s overall health. Another important part of a happy, healthy childhood is fun! We love hearing about all the fun local events that our patients and their families get to attend all summer. In order to help you make the most of the summertime we’ve got left, we’ve put together a list of some of the most popular kid-friendly events coming up before school starts up again!

The Goddard School Summer Carnival and Open House

The Goddard School right here in Katy is hosting their annual Summer Carnival and Open House on Saturday, August 3rd from 10 am – 1 pm. This is an awesome opportunity for free family fun in Katy! Attractions include a foam pit, sports inflatables, paddle boats, fire truck rides, carnival-inspired activities, a magic show, clowns, and food and drinks! Katy residents are welcome to come to enjoy the free summer fun. If you choose to register your child at The Goddard School after attending the carnival, your registration fee will be waived. It’s a win-win situation!

End of Summer Party at the Katy Library

Ever been to a party at a library? Our very own Katy Library is hosting an End of Summer Party on Monday, August 5th from 2:30 pm – 4 pm. We don’t have to be sad that summer is over! Visitors age 11 and up are invited to come to the party to play video games, sing karaoke, and eat pizza, that’s right, video games and karaoke at the library! You won’t want to miss this one.

Kids’ Pasta Camp

Who doesn’t love pasta? This year, Danjoy’s Homemade Pasta here in Katy is hosting a Kids’ Pasta Camp from July 29th – August 1st! Kids ages 8 and up are invited to learn how to make a different kind of pasta every day that week, and then they’ll get to eat their creations for lunch! Parents are invited to stay and watch if they choose. This is a great opportunity for kids to get their hands dirty with eggs and dough! They’ll have lots of fun and learn an awesome new skill!

Katy’s Saturday Farmers’ Market

During the summer, Katy’s Saturday Farmer’s Market is the perfect place to find fresh, delicious local goods! The vendors offer a great variety of local sustainably grown produce, locally raised meats, farm fresh eggs, local raw honey, freshly baked bread, and other baked goods, jams & jellies, spices, snacks, multi-cultural foods, Artisan crafts and gifts, handmade soaps and other spa products, Texas-raised herbs, flowers, plants, and more! The vendors vary from week to week, so check back periodically for cool new items and vendors!
